If you aren’t familiar with the cartoon and toy franchise Dino-Riders, there’s no need to worry, your nerd cred is still intact. After producing only 14 episodes in 1988, the cartoon went the way of the dinosaurs. But now, according to The Tracking Board, Mattel is planning to revive the series as a feature film.
They’ll be teaming up with Solipsist Films to tell the story of the warring futuristic races who keep up their bickering (while riding dinosaurs of course) after being transported to prehistoric times.
The film will be produced by Alissa Phillips and Stephen L’Heureux.
