The ABC/Marvel programming slate continues to flourish as news has come of a comedy series based on Damage Control that’s in development.

Variety reports that the series will be a comedy series with a cast that deals with the fallout from super hero conflicts. The series description reads: “They are the ones who are in charge of returning lost ray guns to their rightful owners, help to reschedule a wedding venue after it has been vaporised in a super hero battle… Sometimes the most important super heroes are the ones behind the scenes — and that’s who ‘Damage Control’ will follow.”

In the comics, Damage Control was a construction based company that repaired property damage caused by the clashing super heroes and super villains, and have appeared in the Marvel animated series Ultimate Spider-Man and The Superhero Squad Show, as well as a brief appearance in the background of Iron Man‘s (2008) closing scenes on a screen that briefly mentions that Damage Control are rebuilding the area where the final confrontation took place. As they say over at Marvel: “It’s all connected!”

Damage Control is being developed by Ben Karlin (Modern Family) who will act as executive producer with David Miner and Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s head of television
