The team for the new Power Rangers reboot from Lionsgate is almost complete! If you haven’t seen the Red Ranger, and Pink Ranger castings, go check them out! But today, we present you with the new Black and Blue Rangers.
Ludi Lin will play the part of the new Black Ranger, joining the previously revealed Dacre Montgomery as the Red Ranger and Naomi Scott as the Pink Ranger. Lin‘s most recent acting appearances have been in Netflix’s Marco Polo where he played a batbayer in episode 3 of season 2, and a Wind Magician in the film Monster Hunter. Lin will take over from Walter Emanuel Jones who was the original Mighty Morphin’ Black Power Ranger when the series first aired in 1993, later replaced by Johnny Yong Bosch.
RJ Cyler will play the part of the new Blue Ranger, probably best known for his role as Earl in the movie Me, and Earl and the Dying Girl. Cyler will take over from David Yost, the original Mighty Morphin’ Blue Power Ranger in 1993.
The Power Rangers movie will begin filming next year with an intended 2017 release.
