Woody Harrelson has been cast as the main villain in the new Planet of the Apes movie.
Story details are light on the ground, but Harrelson‘s character has been dubbed the Colonel.
War for the Planet of the Apes is the third installment of the franchise’s reboot and will be directed by Matt Reeves, with a script by Mark Bomback , Both worked on the last film Dawn of the Planet of the Apes wowed the critics and was a huge financial success.
Shooting begins in November around the same time Harrelson‘s next film The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 is released in cinemas. War for the Planet of the Apes is penciled in for a 2017 release date.
