Stan Lee Has Not Seen Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four
Oh dear. Just when it seemed like there was no more bad news surrounding Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four, it seems that Stan Lee, the man who created the franchise and attended the Ant-Man premiere less than 24 hours after leaving the emergency room, has not bothered to see it.
Speaking on Larry King Now, Lee remained as charming and diplomatic as ever when asked about the film’s disastrous reception. “I haven’t seen it yet, so I really can’t comment,” was his response when questioned about it and quipped, “Well, it was probably because I didn’t have a cameo in it, and they didn’t discuss the story with me.”
While not committing to an answer, Lee eventually revealed that the theory that constantly rebooted franchises become the reason for their failure “might be true”.
