Simone Missick Joins Luke Cage Cast As Missy, A.K.A Misty Knight
Marvel’s Luke Cage has added a very interesting to its roster with the news that Simone Missick will be taking on the mantle of a character called Missy, who, according to IMDb, is Misty Knight. Deadline also back up that she’s Misty Knight.
Misty is a former cop with a bionic arm, so that should tell you all you need to know about what kind of badass she is. Given the gritter tones of the Netflix Marvel series so far, there’s no telling how cool Misty will be on-screen. The character has a long history with both Luke Cage and Iron Fist, both of whom are to be included in Marvel’s The Defenders, so we can likely expect some crossover before the series’ all converge.
Missick joins Mike Colter, who plays the titular Cage, as the female lead. Other cast members include Rosario Dawson, Theo Russi and Alfre Woodard. So, basically, Marvel’s Luke Cage has a very strong cast that continues to get stronger!
