It’s been a year of revivals, with Jurassic World, Heroes Reborn, a potential Xena: Warrior Princess reboot in the works, and a Mighty Morphin Power Rangers movie due to hit the big screen next year, and let’s not even get into the live action remakes of some of our favourite Disney movies. So it’s no surprise Nickelodeon want to get in on the nostalgia, with reports suggesting some of our favourite 90s classics might just return to the screen.

Nickelodeon was home to some of the ’90s biggest hit TV shows, including: Doug, Clarissa Explains It All, Rugrats, Hey Arnold, Kenan & Kel, CatDog, The Wild Thornberrys and so many more.

In an interview with Variety, Russell Hicks, president of content and development at Nickelodeon stated that they are currently looking through their library at the most loved shows to bring them back in a “fresh new way”.

He didn’t specify if any of they were looking at full series or whether Nickelodeon would opt to build some nostalgic hype around a TV special or movie.
