Both a new poster and a new trailer for The Last Witch Hunter have been released. The movie stars Vin Diesel with Michael Caine, Elijah Wood, Rose Leslie, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson and Julie Engelbrecht in supporting roles. The poster can be seen just below.
The film sees Vin Diesel play Kaulder, witch hunter condemned to be immortal. This much was made clear in the trailer released just over a month ago.
Entitled ‘Awakening’ the latest trailer shows a film that seems to be dabbling in material not unlike that of Constantine (2005). The high-concept fantasy is further demonstrated with the clashing of realities and the mysterious evil that Diesel‘s Witch Hunter must face. The backing track is ‘Paint is Black’ but there is a twist. It’s not the original version by The Rolling Stones; it’s been recorded by Ciara. That, beyond doubt, will turn some off. Still, at The Arcade we’ll give the movie it’s day in court (so to speak) only after it’s released.
