I need Steven Universe back in my life like the deserts need the rain! I caught the SU bug later than others, catching the odd episode here and there I didn’t really get into. That is until I had the chance to binge watch the entire first season.
If you haven’t watched the show yet then you should know that your life is currently missing something! You aren’t complete until you’ve seen Steven, Garnet, Pearl and Amethyst battle terrifying monsters, grapple sugary foods and come to terms with their roles as heroes of Beach City.
Aside from the show, the amazing story, the characters, the colour and the music, I love the fandom that has built up around the Crystal Gems. Debating origins, fan theories and hopes for the next episodes, there is a vibrant community and the artists in it are doing their part.
