You may have seen this artist pop up on your radar before. In fact, we at The Arcade have previously spotlighted her work as part of our Genderbent Disney gallery. However, given that I’m a massive fan of Sakimichan, and would gladly give my left arm to have a house covered wall to wall in her artwork, one gallery just didn’t seem like enough. So this week, we’ll be showing off some of my personal favorites, all of which are now set as my desktop backgrounds.

So, for those of you who don’t know, Sakimichan is a Canadian born artist by the name of Yue Wang. In her own words, she’s “been drawing since [she] was a kid and [she’s] never loved any other hobbies as much.” So with so many years of practice and passion for her art, it would be no surprise for me to tell you that thanks to Patreon sponsors, she reportedly makes about $33,279.49 every 2 weeks by giving her fans not only new and beautiful pieces to look at, but also tutorials on how to improve your own skills. In my opinion, it’s very easy to see why so many people would want to sponsor Sakimichan, as her art not only shows a high degree of skill and imagination, but it also tugs at the heart strings of many an anime or gaming fan when Sakimichan draws iconic characters from everything ranging from Naruto to League of Legends.

In addition to the above mentioned fan art pieces (all of which can be viewed at Sakimichan‘s DeviantArt linked below), Sakimichan also does beautiful custom pieces, which is what we’re focusing on today. In the artwork below, Sakimichan stretches her imagination from enchanted forests, to mythical dragons, to beautiful characters inspired by mermaids, samurai and a living embodiment of music. I don’t know about you guys, but I’d kill to have any of the pieces below hanging on my walls.

If you’d like to see more of Sakimichan‘s work, you can visit her DeviantArt here, or likewise if you’d like to contribute to the artist and see more of her work in the future, you can sponsor her on Patreon here.
