Have you ever read a book or watched a movie and wished you lived in their fantastical worlds filled with magical creatures? I would say “Well now you can!” but that’s not exactly the case. You can, however, own one of these beautiful creations by Lee Cross, also known as Wood-Splitter Lee. They are handmade poseable plush creatures that are incredibly life-like.
Lee starts off by sculpting the faces and attaching them to a poseable armature, which she then covers in stuffing, cloth, and synthetic fur. Each one is unique and made from scratch, without using any molds. She sells them in weekly e-bay auctions, has made over 400 creatures, and has caught the attention of Weta Workshop and other companies around the world.
