Khan Academy has teamed up with Pixar to create ‘Pixar In A Box’, a free online course based on Pixar’s animation methods. The course will have videos, texts, exercises, and tips from Pixar’s animators, that revolve around 3D animation mechanics.
If you don’t know Khan Academy, it is “a non-profit educational organisation created in 2006 by educator Salman Khan to provide “a free, world-class education for anyone, anywhere”. So if you want to brush up on other areas of animation before or after taking ‘Pixar in a Box’, you will surely find other courses to help you out.
This course explores the mathematics and physics behind animation and you don’t need any prior knowledge of drawing or 3D modeling to take it. Check out what the guys over at Pixar have to say about it:
