Peter Capaldi Says His Time As The Doctor May End “Sooner Rather Than Later”
In a recent interview with The Mirror, Peter Capaldi revealed some of the novelties that have accompanied his time as the most beloved of time travel heroes.
He is banned from watching the show at home but confesses, “I still watch shows on my day off”.
However, the interview covers more than the intricacies of the Capaldi household. He knows that Doctor Who is not a long term gig, saying, “I sort of enjoy this position I am in with a kind of deep Scottish melancholy because I know it has to end one day. I will cross that bridge when we come to it, which may be sooner rather than later.”
Season 9 is not yet here and yet the speculation already begins as to who will take up the mantel next. Or rather, Season 9 is looming and we don’t yet know if Capaldi will be out of a job by the end of it!
