Archaeologist Andrew Reinhard, who holds a Masters in Archaeology from the University of Missouri-Columbia, has turned his attention from excavating real ruins in Greece, to looking at virtual history in video game worlds.

He runs a blog called Archaeogaming where he not only talks about the history in the worlds such as those of The Elder Scrolls and World of Warcraft, but also looks into the culture and meta aspects of archaeology in video games.

It’s all really interesting stuff and well worth a read over breakfast or if you’ve got a spare minute over the day.

What do you think about this concept of archaeogaming? What are your favourite gaming realm histories? Let us know down below!
