This actually happened!
Generally what people want from their government is straight and to-the-point answers… just maybe not so much in a different language, let alone an alien one. The Welsh Shadow Health Minister, Darren Millar, recently put forward three questions to the government regarding unidentified flying objects:
In short, he wanted to know how many reports of UFOs there had been and whether the government would fund research into this area.
And the answer, surprisingly enough, was in Klingon:
This roughly translates to:
Buzzfeed News checked with the press office at the Welsh government, which were able to confirm that this did actually happen.
So there you have it, Wales was not only the centre point for the wonderful show, Torchwood, they have further cemented their position in geekdom as Trekkies as well.
