Platinum Games have a lot on their plate as of late, what with Transformers: Devastation releasing in October, a Nier sequel in the works, helping with production of Star Fox: Zero and, not to forget their latest AAA action title, Scalebound, being developed for the Xbox One, Platinum has more then enough work to keep themselves busy.
Even with all this work, director Kenji Saito (Metal Gear Solid: Rising Revengence) recently spoke about two popular anime series he would like to work with. When asked by a fan on Twitter whether he had any interest in making a title based on the Gatchaman series or Tatsunoko‘s Karas OVA, Kenji Saito instead replied with the statement, “I want to make the Kill La Kill or Berserk“.
Both Kill La Kill and Berserk are ripe for Platinum action style games, both having a heavy focus on music and combat at their heart, with varied crazy monster and character design. If anything, Platinum making a game on either would be a match made in heaven. Kill La Kill has currently finished from its 2013 airing and was produced by Trigger Inc and Berserk is currently undergoing a second anime adaptation via a series of CGI films produced by Studio 4°C.
Are you a fan of Berserk or Kill La Kill? If so, what would you want a game adaptation to be like? Let us know in the comments.
