You read that right! Just a few days ago, KOTOR II : The Sith Lords got its first official update in over 10 years. Having been abandoned by its original developers in 2005, the buggy mess that was KOTOR II was kept alive by a dedicated modding community. It was Aspyr Media, working in conjunction with the game’s modding community, that helped bring about this massive new update.
New features include :
- Linux, SteamOS and OSX Support (With a mobile port coming soon!)
- Native PC Controller Support
- Steam Achievements
- Steam Workshop Support
That last feature is a big one, because it means the modding community will be able to see their efforts added to the game with ease for a lot of users, so it’s a nice payoff for them.
It’s also great for new players because it will allow them to add The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod with just a few clicks.
