Fantastic Four Only Getting 2D Release In Cinemas

There were some rumours floating about that the Fantastic Four film coming in a few weeks would not be getting a 3D release. Final Reel reached out to Fox for clarification and it’s true, there will only be a 2D release for the movie.
Director Josh Trank issued the following statement:
“I want the viewing experience of Fantastic Four to remain as pure as possible for the audience, which means in 2D, just as we shot the movie.”
This is a brave, strong statement to make, but we wish it was for any other film. Fantastic Four has been shrouded in rumours of over-spending and negative experiences on-set, so something like this will only fuel those fires.
Fantastic Four is set for cinemas on August 7.
