Chris Pine To Star As Steve Trevor In Wonder Woman
DC’s movie universe continues to expand and fill itself in as yet another big star has joined the ranks. The Wrap is reporting that Star Trek star Chris Pine has signed a multi-picture deal with Warner Bros. for the role of Steve Trevor, an old love interest of Wonder Woman’s from the comics. According to insiders, the deal includes sequel options.
Major plot details are still under lockdown, but it is being circulated that Steve Trevor will see plenty of action despite being a love interest of Diana’s. In the comics, Steve is often the one needing saving by Wonder Woman, turning the damsel in distress trope on its head – we can only hope the Wonder Woman movie will have at least one instance of this for full justice at the hand of the Amazon warrior!
Wonder Woman, starring Gal Gadot, is due in 2017.
