Muppets fans rejoice as ABC has finally released a 10 minute long pitch trailer for the beloved puppets’ brand new TV series. The trailer was originally sent to ABC as a pitch for the series, and was never meant to be aired to the public. However, after many pleas from fans the world over, ABC has finally decided to release the trailer.
The video shows a lot of promise for what could be a great show. While the new series seems to be quite different from the original Muppet Show, we think it’s moving in a good direction. Fans of the original would no doubt be older, and less likely to watch a show made for kids on a regular basis so letting the Muppets age up alongside their audience seems like a smart move by the creators. However, we’ll just have to wait and see how the full series pans out, as The Muppets Studio won’t begin airing until autumn this year.
