If you’ve racked up so many hours playing Splatoon that you’ve been able to completely bling out your Inkling and want to just cover yourself with paint, then these might be the style tips for you.

One of the latest trends in the editorial beauty world is ‘drippy’ lip art.

And while this isn’t at all wearable, it does make for some very ‘Splatoon-y’ makeup. If you want something super bold, colourful, and with that ‘wet’ look, I’d recommend the so called ‘lip hybrids‘. They’re way more pigmented than a gloss, but way creamier than a lipstick. The famous ‘lip tars‘ have similar properties as well. Recently, brands are coming out with more and more unconventional colours, and there’s really a whole rainbow of possibilities. If you’re not a fan of the glossy finish, there are also ‘liquid to matte’ lipsticks in an impressive array of colours. Most recently, Jeffree Star released a new line of blue lippies that have sold out almost instantly. Don’t be afraid of the bright colours! It might take a bit of getting used to, but when you do, you won’t want to wear a nude lip again!

If loads of colours really aren’t your thing, no need to worry. You can take inspiration from some of the most stylish squids around, Callie and Marie. Dare to be bold with a really creative graphic liner, and may I suggest adding some touches of colour to really make it stand out.

Coloured liquid and gel liners are getting more and more common on the market now, but if you can’t get your hands on any, just mix some bright eyeshadow with some mixing medium and you’ve got yourself a liner in any colour you want! Experiment with different shapes and thicknesses and you’ll never be bored.
