Sony Looking At Nikolaj Arcel To Direct Stephen King’s The Dark Tower
We loved the books and we’ll no doubt love the film too! Danish filmmaker Nikolaj Arcel is at the top of Sony’s list of director hopefuls for the remake of The Dark Tower series. According to reports, negotiations between the studio and the director will begin soon.
Arcel is acclaimed in his field and directed popular films such as A Royal Affair, as well as being involved in co-scripting The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Other than the upcoming film, there’s also have a companion television series in the works so we have a lot more Stephen King related titles to look forward to.
The Dark Tower has been in development for a long time, going from Legendary to Warner Bros. before settling for Sony. Here’s hoping there are no more hiccups in production and we can look forward to the film being released some time in the next couple of years.
