After her fantastic turn as Furiosa in the hugely popular blockbuster, Mad Max: Fury Road, we’ve been having a bit of a love affair with Charlize Theron. Now she’s back on the big screen playing another challenging role.
Based on Gone Girl author Gillian Flynn‘s popular book of the same name, Theron plays Libby Day, as she comes across a group of conspiracy theorists who think her jailed brother is innocent of murdering her mother and sisters. Libby was only seven when her family was murdered in their farmhouse, and the traumatised girl accused her brother, Ben (Tye Sheridan) which put the 16 year old in prison for life.
Also starring Nicolas Hoult, Chloë Grace Moretz and Christina Hendricks, Dark Places arrives in cinemas on the 7th of august.
