Jason Statham Not Joining Netflix' Daredevil
The internet has been on fire since late Thursday, when a rumour about Jason Statham started making the rounds. Apparently, fans were convinced that Statham was being cast as Marvel comics villain Bullseye for the Netflix exclusive series, Daredevil. Where possible, we try to avoid reporting on such rumours until there is more to the story than an over-eager reporter and an unnamed source.
It seems, though, that this is one rumour that had an element of truth to it. Bullseye is a potential character for the second season which begins filming this summer, but Statham is not in negotiations to join the series and Marvel have pretty much confirmed that after speaking to CBR.
We do know that Elektra will appear in the second season, which returns in 2016, and that casting is open for an actress to take on the role. However, other than that it seems the rumour mill keeps churning!
