Jared Leto's Joker Is Scaring His Cast Mates
Much like with Heath Ledger playing the Joker, Jared Leto seems like an atypical choice, albeit promising. There has been lots of buzz and mystery regarding what sort of personality quirks Leto is bringing to the character, but fellow co-stars are starting to reveal some hints about Leto‘s performance.
In an interview with E!, Scott Eastwood revealed how into his character Leto is on set. “I was sort of afraid to approach him because I didn’t want to mess with his thing going on,” Eastwood said. “But I knew him before. I met him before he was The Joker. I just met him as Jared Leto. So I didn’t know if I wanted to mess up his thing.”
Talk about intense. It’s one thing to get into character, it’s a whole other thing not being able to interact normally with your co-workers because of it.
Another of Leto‘s co-stars, Jai Courtney spoke with Spotlight Report about the upcoming movie and talked about what it’s like on set. “I’m really excited about it,” Courtney said. “The vibe on set’s fantastic. We’ve really found a sort of a family atmosphere out there. The cast are fantastic. And I’m working with some wonderful actors and David Ayer’s someone who — I mean, he was the real drawcard for me. I hadn’t read a script at all when I signed on.”
When asked about Jared Leto‘s portrayal of the Joker, Courtney didn’t say much but laughed, “It’s out there, man.”
People may still be sceptical, but one thing is certain. Our curiosity is only spiking with each new bit of information from the set.
