Reese Witherspoon To Star In Live Action Tinkerbell Film

Here comes another one! Another live action adaptation of beloved animated characters, this time we will be seeing Tinkerbell come to the big screen, according to The Hollywood Reporter. We have seen live action Tinkerbell before with Julia Roberts donning the fairy wings and pixie dust in Hook, but now it is Reese Witherspoon taking on the energetic little sprite.
With no director yet at the helm, Victoria Strouse (Finding Dory) has been taken on to look over the writing (after all, it can’t be too cheesy!) while Witherspoon herself and producing partner Bruna Papandrea to spearhead this film to the big screen. Did we mention Disney are not even behind this yet? Taking on a more modest budget than the recent Disney titles like Maleficent, the story will take on the same mysterious aspect as Maleficent while playing with the already well-known and loved Peter Pan timeline.
Only time will tell if this adaption will reap the same success as recent live action Disney movies. Maybe some pixie dust will help?
