We all have games we played as kids that will remain at the top of our ‘all time favourites’ list forever. Ratchet & Clank is one of those games. The original 2002 Playstation2 game was released with fun, colourful characters, varied gameplay in an interesting world covered in bolts and great (at the time) graphics. Now, we get another dose of the famous duo!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, voice actors for the upcoming animated feature film, co-directed by Kevin Munroe (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and Jericca Cleland, have been released. There’ll be some familiar voices with the original actors reprising their roles, including James Arnold Taylor as Ratchet, David Kaye as Clank, Armin Shimerman as Nefarious and Jim Ward as Captain Qwark.

Joining them will be Paul Giamatti, John Goodman, Bella Thorne, Sylvester Stallone and Rosario Dawson. With such a star-studded cast, the film will no doubt be as successful as the dozen or so games that now make up the franchise.

The film will follow the two unlikely heroes (quirky Ratchet and pint-sized Clank) as they try to thwart an evil alien named Chairman Drek from destroying the Solana Galaxy. They come across a dangerous weapon that has the ability to obliterate whole planets and must join forces with an organisation called The Galactic Rangers to save everyone.
