The story trailer for upcoming game Xenoblade Chronicles X dropped yesterday and it’s certainly a sight for tired eyes that are sick of dull, cardboard cut-out characters. The graphics are pretty good and the setting is an interesting blend of fantasy and reality. The characters themselves are detailed and racially diverse, which is always good to see.
XenobladeIn the game, the player (you) will be joining Blade, an organization that searches the world of Mira and tries to find ‘life points’. The life points are pods that contain cryogenically frozen humans who were lost whenever humans first landed on Mira.
You’ll be able to follow your own quests to explore and battle monsters which will help the citizens of base town, NLA. When you help the citizens they will form a relationship with the player, which will help the player grow as a character.
Xenoblade Chronicles X supports online multiplayer for up to four players and up to 32 players will get to pass information between each other. Tetsuya Takahashi, of Xenogears fame, is the game’s developer, while Hiroyuki Sawano (Attack on Titan) is composing the game’s music.
The game will follow a similar style to Xenoblade Chronicles in its battle style and exploration themes and, although there’s a set release date for Japan (April 29th) one has yet to be confirmed for North America, Australia and Europe, although it will be sometime in 2015.

What do you think of the trailer? Will you be getting the game when it comes out? Let us know in the comments!
