It has been a long six years but Square Enix unveiled today that development has begun on the Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithless RPG game that will be released on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
They had originally denied the idea of a new game back in 2013 after filing for a new trademark. Not only did they announce the new game but also streamed a trailer that recaps the game series and gives introduction to the newest game.
No release date has been announced or price but it has been announced that tri-Ace are again developing the game and the characters will be designed by Akira Yasuda. The official website for the game has also issued a catchphrase:
“Toward the star ocean that grows even farther away”
