The creator of Banjo, Kazooie is throwing his hat in the ring of mascot driven platformers once again. A new Kickstarter campaign launching tomorrow will, hopefully, give us Yooka and Laylee, the stars of a brand new spiritual successor to the aforementioned banjo games. Yooka-Laylee (pronounced “ukelele”) promises gorgeous environments and tasking puzzles through a wise-cracking storybook world that feels lived in. From the official site, we have a teaser image of the pair standing proudly.
Platonic games are the developer of this cutesy looking endeavor and the team seems to have been largely involved with many Rare properties in the past. If their past work is any indication of quality then we are in for something special! IGN were given a heads-up regarding the first gameplay of the game, and the Kickstarter begins tomorrow at 4 PM GMT!
