The weather has been acting very strangely for the last week or so meaning loads of sunshine and minimal rain and it has been uplifting. I have a spring in my step and a smile on my face first thing in the morning no matter how early it is. These songs are a weird mix to some but to some they can adapt to the flow.

The Irrepressibles – In This Shirt

This is one of my favorite songs to sing ever. Something about it is just so soothing. Its a wind down song and can be a bit of a downer depending of how you feel it. The use of violins in a song tends to win me over a bit but with this song all I wanted to do was glide around the kitchen while feeling the ebb and flow of the music. The vocals are strong, gentle and compelling to listen to.

Mark Ronson – Uptown Funk (Feat. Bruno Mars)

No matter how many complaints I hear about this some it never fails to lift my spirits on my commute to work every morning. Guaranteed every time this comes on I’m either tapping to the beat or trying my hardest to subtly dance to it at the bus much to the enjoyment of those driving by I’m sure. But you know what? I couldn’t care less that is how great this some makes me feel. Any song that can make countless people call themselves “hot” even if it’s just in the heat of the moment is a song I will never skip.

Paolo Nutini – New Shoes

Sometimes I feel like this song was made for me. I have a slight addiction to shoes although I don’t buy them often. The beat in this song feels like a weekday to me.  It starts of mellow at the beginning enough not to over stimulate those who are not early risers. Then is progresses to a particularly good morning then it lulls back to the hours between getting in to work and home time. Then once home time comes along all is right with the world again. New shoes are a source of magic.

Arctic Monkeys – The View From The Afternoon

As a teenager this song cemented my fascination with drums. Without them I honestly think a few songs would fall flat on their faces. This song was amazing and after rediscovering it recently to me it is timeless. It still makes me feel like jumping around my bedroom. The Arctic Monkeys aren’t every bodies cup of tea and to be honest I can 100% understand that but this song is a must listen to at least once.

CL – Baddest Female

Last but not least is this gem of a ‘choon! This song helps me channel my inner boss whether or not I want to feel it or not. It’s a song you can definitely dance to or just lay back relax and feel the beats. And not to mention some of my favorite K-pop idols are in the m/v. Definitely one for the ‘Girl Power’ playlist on Spotify.
