Mark Millar Charity Auction #TorresBenefit
Writer Mark Millar best known for his works Kick-Ass, Civil War and The Secret Service, is auctioning off the keyboard he uses to write as well as 25 stack tall collection of signed comics. In a post on the forums of his official website Millar informed fans about the auction and what the money would be used for:
“As readers know, our friend Wilfredo Torres lost his wife to cancer a little over a week ago and Brent Schoonover had the brilliant idea of a fundraiser for he and his family where artists across our community had ebay actions [sic] for their work and all proceeds were donated to the #TorresBenefit.“
Torres is the artist on the upcoming Jupiter Circle spin-off from Mark Millar and Frank Quitely’s Jupiter Legacy.
The auction is ongoing and at the time of the article, the keyboard and comics are going for $760 (€697). The comics listed in the auction include, Chrononauts, Civil War, Jupiter’s Circle, Jupiter’s Legacy, The Ultimates, Ultimate War, Wanted, Superior, Kick-Ass, Hit-Girl, The Secret Service, Marvel 1985, Wolverine; Enemy of the State, Wolverine: Old Man Logan, Fantastic Four, Starlight, Ultimate Fantastic Four, American Jesus, MPH, Spider-Man, Supercrooks, Superman: Red Son (rare first edition, The Authority, Superman Adventures and Ultimate X-Men.
