It’s Official – Russo Brothers Are Directing Avengers: Infinity War
Rumors had been circulating, and let’s be honest we all knew it was happening since Joss has said he can’t do another Avengers film – the Russo brothers will be taking on the greatest comic book film endeavor of all time; Averngers: Infinity War Parts 1 & 2!
Confirmed in a statement from Marvel, the brothers are already veterans of the MCU, with their most recent credit, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, being one of the most-loved of the films to date. They are also behind the upcoming Captain America: Civil War, which is hitting our screens next year.
That said, Infinity War will be a the biggest undertaking in the MCU, combining everything we’ve seen to date in a showdown assumed to be between an infinity gauntlet toting Thanos and the varios heroes and teams from across the universe who have been born in the cinematic world. As of now, the projected release dates for the epic two-parter are May 4, 2018 and May 3, 2019, respectively.
