Hot Topic and New Universe Reveal Marvel Clothing Collection
If you haven’t heard of them before, Her Universe is a clothing line founded by Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka Tano herself) that creates and sells amazing and unique fangirl clothing. They have everything from Star Wars shirts and jewellery (that SW t-shirt Kathleen Kennedy was sporting at ‘Star Wars Celebration’ was theirs), Walking Dead pieces and Studio Ghibli themed tops too! They cover it all, be it Star Trek, Doctor Who, Transformers and there’s a brilliant range in sizes for each and every geek to get into. Now they’ve teamed up with Hot Topic to unveil a brand new Marvel line of dresses for the release of Age of Ultron.
The stylish line of dresses was designed by the winners of the ‘Her Universe Fashion Show’ competition held last year at SDCC. Amy Beth Christenson and Andrew MacLaine served up a fashionable take on the Captain America and Loki designs, my favourite of the lot being the fantastic Black Widow design. And they’re not going to break the bank like a lot of geek themed wear. The most expensive piece on the line is just shy of $60. Fashion-forward and affordable? I’d pick one up myself if I had the legs for it.
