Finally, Tron will be a trilogy! Badass Digest has confirmed the news that Tron 3, quite possibly Tron: Legacy 2, will be filming in Vancouver this fall. As of now there aren’t very many details other than Garrett Hedlund, the star of Legacy, is attached to return.
This is something of a surprise as Tron: Legacy was far from a box office success, though it found a cult following on DVD and blu-ray. There is certainly a loyal fanbase for the world of Tron, and finally getting a trilogy, and possibly more, such as comics and an ongoing TV series, is an exciting prospect. For now, we wait until a director and writer are confirmed – hopefully people of merit!
