Style Saturday is once again upon us and I thought it best this week to give The Arcade readers a little Asgardian fashion action, in celebration of our new Goddess of Thunder. This week we’re doing Thor Vs Loki. Tricky I know. After all, how do you translate armour into Spring style? Especially in Ireland were Spring may as well still be Winter.
Fear not. We do all the hair pulling so you don’t have to. We will keep you warm, stylish and ready to kick frost giant ass.

Thor

ThorThe idea behind Thor’s outfit is that for the most part you probably already have the pieces needed to accomplish the look; it’s simple, casual and kick ass because Thor isn’t someone who spends all day in front of a mirror.
So the outfit needs to be put together, without being too put together.
Not to mention very easy on the wallet because it has a lot of elements in it. For the look I paired some 80 denier black tights (substitute for leggings if it’s cold) with tan shorts and ankle boots all combined with a cross knitted sweater (don’t worry if you’re tall, it’ll look even better a little cropped) and a super casual loose fitting t-shirt. Pair it off with something like a few silver bangles and you’re there.
T-Shirt – €13 Tights – €13 Boots – €19 Shorts – €31 Sweater – €17
Total = €93
Optional
Bangle = €20

Loki

Loki
On the opposite end of the style spectrum is Loki. The guy is image, image, image!
Instead of going the green route with the tones, I decided a deep regal looking maroon granddad collared shirt (dress for the job you want 😉 ) with some boot cut black jeans and a double collared, stone grey statement jacket, combine all of this with some round toed ankle boots with stitch detailing for a sharp and sophisticated look that’s right up Loki’s street.
I accessorized with a classic style synthetic look satchel but this can be substituted with really any kind of side bag and because of the colour injection of the shirt you can get away with a multitude of accented colours.
Jacket – €54 Shirt – €11 Boots – €68.57 Jeans – €21
Total = €154.57
Optional
Satchel – €42 – But can be subsidized with any side satchel.
