What do Stan Lee and Downton Abbey have in common? Well up until now nothing! Now the comic book and movie mogul and all ’round legend that is Stan Lee has teamed up with producers from British drama series, Downton Abbey to create a new show debuting a new kind of superhero according to news sources.
The new show Lucky Man is a crime drama based on a Stan Lee idea and will be aired as a ten part series on Sky! It’s set to star James Nesbitt (Jekyll, Cold Feet) as a London homicide detective who has had a streak of bad luck, failed marriage and a gang boss looking for debts to be repaid until a mysterious woman offers him a charm that allows him to take luck into his hands but at a cast.
In a statement about the show and it’s concept, “Luck has always been a fascinating subject to me, and I am excited to finally share that fascination with audiences around the world. With all the creative projects I have worked on, I sure am a lucky man myself.”
The show is scheduled to air next year!
