The second UK trailer for Tomorrowland (dubbed Tomorrowland – A World Beyond over here) gives a greater look at the world Brad Bird has constructed. Not only that, but Hugh Laurie gets a few extra seconds on-screen and we see some of the crazy transitions the film will be based around.
The idea of seeing Clooney and Laurie together on-screen is a good one to me – both men are very charismatic, and it seems they’ll both be a driving force for the young protagonist, one Britt Robinson. And the special effects on show are spectacular, those instant changes are incredible, especially if they’re maintained through-out like it’s been hinted at with previos trailers. It looks like this might not be pure novelty, with objectivist paradise being married to youthful escapism. Only time will tell, but for now, May 22nd is a date to be kept in mind!
