It’s been confirmed that everyone’s favorite Game of Thrones actor, Maisie Williams, known for her role as Arya Stark, will appear in the upcoming season of Doctor Who. Maisie has just completed a tour of the US and is according to the BBC back in England and has begun filming her scenes.
Speaking about being involved in the show Maisie has said that she is “… excited to be working on Doctor Who as it’s such a big and important part of British Culture. I can’t wait to meet the cast and crew and start filming, especially as we’ll be shooting not too far from my home town.”
Steven Moffat, Executive Producer and the show’s lead writer is said to be thrilled to working with Maisie, while he ramined tightlipped about her exact role, he has said that she is going to be a serious challenge for the Doctor, “This time he might just be out of his depth, and we know Maisie is going to give him exactly the right sort of hell.”
Doctor Who is set to return this Autumn.
