Hugh Jackman Says "One Last Time" For Wolverine

Without a shadow of a doubt, Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine will go down in history as one of the longest running, distinctive turns as a hero ever. He’s been a mainstay of four X-Men films, two solo films and his cameo in the First Class is among the highlights of an already very good movie. His embodiment of Logan is not only what helped sell the early films, but what has made them so enduring, as they fell into severe mediocrity before rising once again with new life.
Over the weekend, Jackman made a very ominous post on his instagram account saying “WOLVERINE… ONE LAST TIME.”

The Australian has been famously back and forth over where Wolvie is going on the big screen, obviously trying to not give definite answers in case something doesn’t work out, but we’ve all known that he can’t play Wolverine forever. The question is, who replaces such an iconic version of the role? And where does the franchise go without the tent-pole character of the series?
But even more immediate than that, what is this last appearance? The next Wolverine solo film doesn’t start filming until next year, but does this mean he will be appearing X-Men: Apocalypse? Or Deadpool? Or Gambit? More news when we hear it, but what would be your ideal choice as a last story/appearance for Jackman’s Wolverine? Let us know in the comments!
