We all know that there have been rumors of a Mel Brooks sequel to Spaceballs for a very, very, very, very, very (you get the picture) long time now. In fact, since the original aired back in the year of my birth there have been rumors of Spaceballs: The Search For More Money but alas, nothing ever became of it. Nearly thirty years later though and it has just so happened that Mel Brooks confirmed that a Spaceballs sequel “is actually going to happen.”
Filming could possibly begin on Spaceballs 2 within the year. With them looking to kick things off after the December Star Wars: The Force Awakens debut.
