Bandai Namco Games have certainly been busy releasing trailers and Wednesday saw them stream a trailer for the upcoming Pokkén Tournament arcade game (did you know the title is a pun of the words Pokémon and fist? No?) An exciting addition to any gamers’ collection, the trailer debuts some of the playable Pokémon, battle system, support Pokémon and the online play.
According to the trailer the so far playable characters are Machamp, Gardevoir, Suicune, Lucario and of course Pikachu while they are being backed up by the assist Pokémon that can join in with the “L” button including Lapras, Emolga, Snivy, Frogadier, Fennekin and Eevee.
The game will have two phases in the battle system, the regular battle actions to the point where a Pokémon can fill its gauge to activate their “resonance burst” where a Pokémon is powered up and can unleash a special attack. “Thunderbolt Pikachu!”
Pokkén Tournament will make its debut in Japanese arcades this summer.
