Pathfinder is the Dungeons and Dragons spin-off turned rival, brought to us by Paizo and based off the third ed. rules of DnD. What began as a table top role-playing game quickly grew into a fan favourite and expanded into the world of card gaming.

Now that card game is going digital with a tablet game based on the Pathfinder Adventure card game and it’s starter pack first released in 2013 is winging it’s way to fans. On release the game will be single player only but multiplayer will follow in an update at a later stage.PZO6000

The game currently has no publisher but it will be released on Android, iOS and PC.

It’s not the only Pathfinder news though as talk of a Pathfinder computer game is growing but according to Obsidian Entertainment CEO, Feargus Urquhart that still some time off:

Obviously we could do something like Pillars of Eternity. Obviously we could do something like Neverwinter Nights 2. We’re going through all of those things to figure out what would be the best thing to do…I would say we’re just starting to really figure it out, it’s going to be awhile.
Obsidian are licensed to develop games based on Pathfinder series after signing a deal with Paizo last year. So while an rpg title might be some time away, we can console ourselves with the card game.
Obsidian Entertainment are set to release their successfully kickstarted RPG title, Pillars of Eternity this March.
