Strength to strength is how Dave Bautista roles as he continues to get high-class film roles. Coming off of Guardians of the Galaxy last year, he’s a villain in upcoming Bond adventure Spectre, and now he’s the murderous The Kurgan in the upcoming Highlander reboot, according to Latino Review.
The Kurgan is a perfect role for the former pro-wrestler as the barbarian is an evil, hulking mass of brutality that provides the challenger to the titular Highlander. The Kurgan has a lust for the prize of being the ultimate warrior, and from here, Dave is the perfect contender for such a prize. As yet there’s no release date for the reboot, but first time director Cedric Nicolas- Troyan is attached to lead production of the 1986 classic.
