Brett Ewins, an artist for 2000 AD whose work spans across some of their most famous titles like Judge Dredd, Anderson Psi Division and Rogue Trooper, has passed away at 59.
Brett began his work with 2000 AD in Prog 33, and since moved onto ongoing jobs in both Judge Anderson and Rogue Trooper. His work with Anderson in particular, coupled with the writing of Alan Grant, helped propel the female hero to top shelf status, putting her up alongside Dredd in the comic fans’ eye. His artwork has been lauded and celebrated within the industry, and his contributions to the British comic world will not be forgotten.
