For any Nintendo fans that were not glued to any screen that could stream the Nintendo Direct that aired today at 2pm would not have heard the news that the new Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL that we have all been dying for will be released on the same day as The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate.
I can nearly hear the sighs of relief mixed with yips of joy around Europe. Fans have known for a while that there would be a new version of the 3DS coming our way – the only question was when. February 13th will bring a 3DS and 3DS XL with a whole host of new features and enhancements. Both coming with larger screens optimizing the way fans view their gaming experience while also adding in a C Stick, very stable 3D via face tracking anf built in NFC for player communication with amiibo figures and ZL/ZR buttons. Just to add in a little customization to the look of the new Nintendo 3DS plate covers will also be released in a wide range of much loved characters (not available for 3DS XL).
It goes without saying that with the release of the new game titles and handhelds that new bundle offers will also be available. A new Nintendo 3DS XL with Majora’s Mask pre-installed and the system covered in artwork inspired right out of the game. The Monster hunter bundle being similar by having the game pre-installed with the emblem from the game on the cover of the system.
Is February too early to ask for a Christmas gift?
