David Tennant Joins Marvel Universe
The Doctor Who/Broadchurch star, David Tennant is set to take on a role in the upcoming Netflix exclusive series, A.K.A. Jessica Jones. The news broke today that Tennant will take on the role of Kilgrave, an enigmatic character that will have a big impact on the events in the series particularly in the life of titular character Jessica Jones.
The series is being directed by Melissa Rosenberg known for her work on Dexter and the Twilight movie franchises and stars Krysten Ritter (Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt. 23) as Jessica Jones a retired superhero turned private detective.
Tennant’s character Kilgrave was first introduced in Daredevil vol. 1 #4 in 1964 as Zebediah Killgrave, an enemy of the blind vigilante and was later revived in 2000’s as an enemy of Jessica Jones, he is also known as ‘The Purple Man’ and possesses the ability to control others through pheromone manipulation.
AKA Jessica Jones will follow after the Daredevil series launching in April and it’s expected to drop in 2015 as well!
