Cork Comic Expo April 2015
It’s been announced that Cork is getting it’s very own Comic Expo and it’s expected to draw thousands of fans to the city in April. The event is being 
spearheaded by Will Sliney, artist for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2099 after being approached by Dublin based comic book shop Big Bang Comics.
The event will host artists and writers, those working for themselves and for big name publishers as well as workshops and panels on the comic book industry. It’s scheduled for April 25th and will take place in Cork’s Mahon Point.
Speaking to the Irish Examiner about his involvement in the event Will said he was motivated to get involved because his early years as a comic book fan. “I decided to get involved because I think back to when I was in my teens and wondered what kind of event would I like — and this is it,“.
No word as of yet on ticket prices or availability but we’ll keep you posted!
