Far-Cry-4-820x420
First off let me admit I have never played 1 or 2 and only played an hour of 3 but I have always liked what I saw of the games and was always trying to get through my other games to get around to playing it. I am coming at Far Cry 4 without any real expectations or experience so I wasn’t really sure what to expect!
So as always lets start of with the bad and get the nasty out of the way.
Firstly… the wildlife is a major pain in the ass. You and your buddy will be doing a mission and you are pretty much dead but managing to get away, or at least you thought you were! Only to find out an eagle is pecking at your eyes and finishes you off. This is especially annoying when you are in a very hard mission and that one eagle would have made the difference between winning and losing.maxresdefault The most annoying part of this is it happens a lot not just every now and then. As well as eagles you have everything else such as rhinos, lions, badgers, boar and so many other animals.
Second thing that is very annoying is when you are playing with a friend and if you both go too far apart it teleport’s your friend back to you but you have to wait at a loading screen it doesn’t happen smoothly like most other games do. This can get very annoying especially if you decide to play with random people online who don’t want to actually help you but rather run around your map.
Another slightly annoying feature is the whole first person shooter angle. I usually don’t mind this but in this game it makes it so much easier to keep missing your targets and a lot of the times resulting in your demise. I don’t know precisely what it is about this games first person mode that makes it so difficult but it is incredibly annoying especially if you start to play the 5 v 5 matches online. Most of the time you are slaughtered before you see anyone!
Being perfectly frank it seems the whole Co-op and multi-player idea is a waste in this game. It didn’t really have a function or add anything or any character to the game.Far-Cry-4-Has-Asymmetrical-Competitive-Multiplayer-Just-Two-Player-Co-Op-460989-4 I just felt it was thrown in as a last minute idea, to add a few more hours of gameplay!
Now for the good side of things ( I don’t just moan I swear). The fact that the single player mode is so strong in character and enjoyment it really does go hand in hand with the Co-op mode and makes for a really fun game to play with a friend online. I also like that some missions seem to be made extremely hard with the idea of enticing you to get your friends to play to help you out. The scenic views in this game are outstanding and breath-taking and the graphics really help pull it out of the bag although that is more the single player side of things it still helps with co-op obviously.
The Co-op mode comes in handy especially when playing mission where you have to gather supplies. You can gather materials twice as fast by taking on wild life one by one or two at a time. This saves up so much time and if you are smart about it and kill the wildlife along the way most of the time you wont need to do anything for the mission other than turn it in.

The Co-op is also very well-integrated into the games. By giving you the option to play online from the main menu it cuts out any loading screens later on in your game when you try to add somebody. You can just continue your voyage as your friend pops in to say hello. I am a big fan of this feature as most games should be doing this by now to make things a lot easier for people to connect.
On a technological side of things they have used great servers and settings. I sometimes come across connection problems with games because my NAT type is 3 is very strict but I had no problems ever connecting to the servers with this game. So hats of to them for that one. It’s a small almost unknown problem but yet they still covered it!
So coming to my conclusion I did really love every minute of this game and it is outstanding in terms or scale, graphics, scenery and accuracy of the culture you are in but everything I loved was more from the actual game itself and not the online multi-player. It just lacked anything interesting for me. So the score below is mostly for integration and the Co-op storyline which for me would have been ten out of ten but the rest dragged it down I’m afraid!

Breathtaking game in all aspects except no need for multi-player  5/10
