Roberto Orci is out, but maybe, just maybe, Jonathan Frakes could be in the list of possible directors for the new Star Trek movie.
For those of you who don’t know Jonathan Frakes, he played the one and only Commander Riker on Star Trek: The Next Generation and has directed some of the best Star Trek movies to date. That isn’t to mention the list as long as my arm of great shows he’s been involved in with a history in Sci-Fi not to be questioned.
Would Star Trek be safe in his hands? Not only do I think it would but I ask why this hasn’t happened before now. Jonathan has had his agent get in touch about the possibility of directing and we can only wait and see. Frakes seems to think it’s a long shot but I can guarantee that a lot of people, myself included, are crossing their fingers hoping that someone can ‘make it so’… *ahem*…
